The Government of the Balearic Islands has awarded Dr. Sebastià Crespí the title of Tourism Ambassador 2025, in recognition of his outstanding professional career in public health and environmental safety applied to tourism.

With more than 40 years of experience and projects in over 40 countries, Dr. Crespí has been a key figure in positioning the Balearic Islands as a global benchmark for safe, healthy, and sustainable tourism.
- Co-author of the ABTA (UK) Guide to Good Practices for preventing illness in tourist environments.
- Co-author of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) guidelines for Legionella prevention.
- Lead author of the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines for hotel reopening following the COVID-19 pandemic — a pivotal tool that helped restore global confidence in destinations like the Balearic Islands.
